No food. A little bit of water. 46.95 pounds, including my new cup.
Cool! You could still put more weight on Nick’s bike. 🙂 I’d guess Patti’s will be a few LBS lighter than yours, but of course, you’re stronger too. Hope to see you soon!
Gary, Now that we both have generously portioned frame bags, we both have room to spare. Since it is summer, we both were happy to leave a lot of things home.
I had Scott make Patti a frame bag for her B-day. My new super light frame bag is wider than my old one. We’ll have more room than we had on the Divide last summer. Also, we won’t need to haul up to 3-4 days of food. Like you said, ‘civilized touring’. Can’t wait.
I was sort of kidding Lael in saying she could put even more weight on your bike to lighten hers even more. 🙂 Patti’s will be lighter than Lael’s only because I’m hauling it.
Impressive. Lighter weight touring is something I’m working towards. I now have a lightweight bag plus sleep pad, which already has shaved 5 lbs.
Heck yeah girl! Thats a feat 🙂 I’m working on the same with my backpack
